InPlay's digital pen and touch solutions selected for major Japanese OEM

InPlay Technologies announced that its dual mode pen and touch solution has been selected for rugged tablet PC manufactured by a leadinng Japanese manufacturer. The company estimates that the project will generate about $1 million in revenue annually if final product requirements are satisfied.

InPlay Technologies provides two types of dual mode pen and touch solutions: MPRD-950 is based on resisitive touch technology while MPCD-970 adopts capacitive touch sensing.

With the dual mode pen and touch solution, users can get advantages of both pen computing and finger touch interface.

Until now, there are only two companies that provide dual mode pen and touch solutons: one is InPlay technologies and the other is N-trig.
