Already these new materials are entering use in touch panels, and e-paper will follow suit shortly. In the near future, the trend may spread to applications such as solar cells and LCD panels, too.”

Nokia B-FLOW mobile phone concept with its feminine curves and elegant texture will make your heart melt. As per the information a three layered co injection of polycarbonate is used to make the case. The concept also has a camera situated behind a photopolymer screen which becomes visible once camera is turned on. The photopolymer screen almost magically becomes transparent so that user can use the camera to capture memories. The best thing about Nokia B-FLOW mobile phone concept is it can be customized according to your need. With exciting social networking applications this cell phone concept is almost alluring.

With so many sophisticated features and such an elegant design, one can find hardly any shortcoming in this mobile phone concept. The only sad thing is Nokia B-FLOW is still a concept.

Microsoft’s Future Workplace: multi-touch office concept demo is here


A new video portraying Microsoft’s futuristic office concept will surely make you raise a brow. The video shows how our offices where we spend most of the time will look like in the future. Stephen Elop, Microsoft’s Business Division President presented the video in the speech at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Business division of Microsoft is burning midnight oil while working on various projects that will surely bring change in our lifestyles. This particular video demonstrating the office of the future illustrates a multi-touch table and a gesture wall system. Sounds interesting, isn’t it? All ideas presented in the office of the future video are very interesting and will make you think about the reach of technology in very different way. Though Microsoft has whatever it is needed to turn such concepts into reality; it will face many obstacles in the form of difficulties and challenges to construct technology-based workplaces. European Market Prepares for New All-in-One PC Using NextWindow Touch Screens

Recently launched Medion X9613 with 24” multi-touch screen soon to be available in Germany


Pleasanton, CA – October 8, 2009 – NextWindow, the market and technology leader in optical touch screens for desktop PCs and large-format displays, today announced that another PC maker will soon begin selling an all-in-one computer with NextWindow touch screens.  Global PC and consumer electronics developer Medion recently announced plans to offer a multi touch-enabled system with a 24” screen.  Branded the Medion X9613, the all-in-one PC will be available initially in Germany.


All-in-one computers represent a growing segment of the larger PC market.  These products combine all hardware and software inside a computer’s monitor, and they mainly are desktop systems though some, such as the Medion X9613, can be mounted to a wall.  US-based electronics giants Dell and Hewlett-Packard were among the first companies to offer a PC version of the all-in-one computer.  Both companies are using optical touch screens from NextWindow in their all-in-ones.  Gartner is forecasting the number of all-in-ones shipped (with a screen size greater than 16”) will double from 2009 to 2010.
