“I've been thinking hard for the last 24 hours about the plight of 22 year-old Thomas Wopat-Moreau.  You see, Wopat-Moreau was found alive, thank god, after spending four days in a swamp 480 feet off a relatively busy, notoriously dangerous parkway.  Why have I been thinking about Thomas Wopat-Moreau (aside from the fact that he crashed his car on the Taconic, a road my husband and I are frequent travelers on)?  Because as the N.Y. Daily News puts it, his cellphone ''saved his life.''”
