Two Arduino-compatible touch boards I'm eager to play with

Bare Conductive Touch Board

This board uses capacitive touch technology and supports up to 12 separate touch electrodes.

WireTouch

WireTouch is the open source multi-touch project and is best fit if you want to build a large capacitive multi-touch sensor. Unlike Touch Board, it supports matrix scanning so as to read signals from large number of channels.

IPEVO Point 2 View (P2V) USB Document Camera | IPEVO Online Store | www.ipevo.com

Portable USB Document Camera

The Point 2 View USB Document Camera provides real-time video capture for documents, pictures, and three-dimensional objects — all at hundreds or even thousands less than conventional document cameras and overhead projectors. With its ultra-portable size and featherlight weight, the Point 2 View is a perfect mobile solution for teaching, presentations, distance learning, and video communication of all types.

The Point 2 View's versatility starts with its multi-jointed stand and weighted base. Three points of articulation mean that you can position the camera at most any height and angle. And the camera's ergonomic grip, as well as a universal monitor clip, give you even more view options.

The camera features an excellent macro mode to capture tiny details and the smallest text from as close as 2 inches (5 cm) away. Two focus modes ensure your image will stay razor-sharp. Snapshots can be taken with a single click, and custom software makes it easy to refine and organize your images.

Along with your PC or Mac computer and a digital projector, the Point 2 View can be used to project sharp, clear video for teaching or presentations. Resolution is adjustable up to high-definition 1600 x 1200. Additionally, the Point 2 View is ready for your video conferencing and remote learning needs, and is compatible with a wide variety of Instant Messaging applications, including Skype, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and AOL.

The Point 2 View packs a whole lot of image-making power into a tiny package. And at this price, document cameras never have to bust your budget again.

ForcePhone is a mobile synchronous haptic communication system. During phone calls, users can squeeze the side of the device and the pressure level is mapped to vibrations on the recipient’s device. The pressure/vibrotactile messages supported by ForcePhone are called pressages. (from http://www.hiit.fi/uix)
